Dirty Martini
Dirty Martinis have been around since 1901 but didn’t become popular until the 1950’s and weren’t given the moniker “Dirty Martini’ until the 1980’s. Like a regular Martini, most mixologists claim the proper way to make a Martini is ‘stirred not shaken’ contrary to James Bond’s infamous ‘shaken not stirred’ Martinis. Shaking melts more ice and gives the cocktail a cloudy appearance whereas stirring produces a clear cocktail with a silky texture and minimal dilution. But, we leave it to you to decide.
