Lemon Drop

This classic cocktail was created in the 1970’s by Norman Hobday, owner of Henry Africa’s in San Francisco. Recognized as the first ‘fern bar’ (as opposed to dive bar) Henry Africa’s was decorated with Tiffany Lamps and ferns and served premium spirits made with fresh juice. The influence of both the fern bar and Lemon Drop endures.

Prep Time

5 minutes
    • 2 oz American Liquor Co Vodka

    • .75 oz Lemon juice

    • .5 oz Simple syrup

    • .5 oz Curacao

    • Sugar

    • Lemon wedge

  • Put sugar on a plate

    Rim a Martini or Coupe glass with a lemon wedge and dip in sugar

    Add vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and Curacao to a shaker with ice

    Shake vigorously

    Strain into glass
